*In collaboration with BASF chemical company:
  1. Post-consumer tire waste with rubber content is collected.
  2. BASF’s partner shreds and sorts the tire waste and, through a chemical recycling process, obtains a pyrolysis oil.
  3. The pyrolysis oil is fed into BASF’s production system, replacing the fossil feedstock required to produce the polyamide 6 polymer (nylon).
  4. BASF attributes the recycled feedstock to the circular nylon via a mass balance approach.
