The INNOVERA™-based leather alternative consists of recycled AMG GT3 racing car tires that were used in tough competition, plant-based proteins and biopolymers. It’s made using a chemical recycling process that combines old tires with biomethane to make pyrolysis oil. The oil is then processed into plastic fibers that are added to plant-based proteins and biopolymers to create the semi-finished product.
